The Sun’s Seye Ojo Emerges Environment Reporter of the Year at NMMA 2024

Oluseye Ojo of The Sun Newspapers has shone brightly at the just-concluded Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) Lagos 2024.

The award presentation was held in the night of Sunday December 15, 2024 at Shell Banquet Hall Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Ojo emerged winner in the Environment Category with his story, entitled: ‘Perilous Water’, which exposed the contamination of the Osun-Osogbo Groove as a result of activities of gold miners, and the danger it posses to public health especially those that draw water from the groove for drinking to solve spiritual problems.

Ojo beat Egole Anozie John Mark and Janet Ogundepo, both of The Punch Newspaper to emerge winner of Notore Chemical Prize for Environment Reporter of the Year 2023.
