The Oyo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has congratulated Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan, Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, on his recent appointment as a member of the Nigeria Premier League Board.
In a statement signed by Boluwaji Ogunmola, Oyo SWAN Secretary, the association described Hon. Olaniyan’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his contributions to Nigerian football.
“We are delighted to hear about Hon. Olaniyan’s appointment to the NPL Board,” said Otunba Ayomiku Ajibola, Oyo SWAN Chairman. “His dedication, passion, and commitment to the development of football in Nigeria, particularly in Oyo State, have earned him this recognition. We are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to bear on the NPL Board.”
The statement praised Hon. Olaniyan’s leadership and achievements at Shooting Stars Sports Club, saying, “Under his guidance, the club has achieved significant growth and success, and we are confident that he will replicate this success on the NPL Board.”
Oyo SWAN Secretary, Boluwaji Ogunmola, expressed the association’s best wishes to Hon. Olaniyan in his new role, saying, “We congratulate Hon. Olaniyan on this well-deserved appointment and wish him success as he assumes his new responsibilities.
