Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibarapa North Local Government, Chief (Hon.) Michael Ogungbenro.
This is contained in a condolence message signed by his media office and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli described the passing of the grassroots political leader as a painful loss, not only to the APC family but to the entire Ibarapa zone and Oyo State as a whole.
The lawmaker said that Chief Ogungbenro was a dedicated party leader and an unwavering advocate for the development of his community.
He commended the deceased’s legacy of loyalty, selflessness and consistent support for progressive ideals.
The lawmaker described him as a dependable figure and an exemplary leader whose commitment to the unity and growth of the party remains commendable.
Senator Alli extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the APC leadership in Ibarapa North and Oyo State.
The lawmaker prayed that God grant the family and the APC fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also prayed for the repose of Ogungbenro’s soul, urging party faithful and the community he served diligently to uphold the values of integrity and service he stood for.
