Ilaji Hotels and Resort CEO, Dotun Sanusi, Honoured with Doctor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management

It was celebration galore at the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) on Thursday, November 28, as a prominent philantropist based in Ibadan, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Resort, was conferred with an honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc Honoris Causa) in Hospitality Management.

The prestigious recognition which was held at the auditorium of the university coincided with the institution’s 16th convocation, creating a dual celebration that honoured both academic achievements and significant contribution to the hospitality industry.

The memorable event attracted a wide array of dignitaries which include captains of industry, top government officials, students, and community members joyfully gathered to witness the momentous occasion.

Chief Dotun Sanusi who is also the Asiwaju of Ona-Ara Local Government area of Oyo State is renowned for his unwavering commitment to enhancing the hospitality sector in Nigeria. His establishment, which has become a benchmark for excellence, provides top-notch services and plays a crucial role in promoting local tourism and economic development.

Responding, Chief Sanusi, greatly expressed deep gratitude for the honour and reflected on his journey in the hospitality industry.
