Gov Makinde Receives Accolades from NULGE Over 7 LG Staff Appointment as Perm Secs

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Oyo State Chapter, is thrilled to express its heartfelt gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to developing the Local Government system.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the state President of NULGE, Comrade Ayobami Adeogun and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday.

According to the statement, “the recent appointment of seven deserving staff as Permanent Secretaries across various zones is a testament to his visionary leadership”, the statement added.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries from local government system are Akinwale Olufemi Akindele, Oduola Adeola Omoyemi, Bamigbose Olanrewaju Alani, Busari Amusat Adekunle, Hazmat Kafilat Adefunke, Oguntona Thomas Oladele and Atoyebi Adedapo Olumuyiwa.

Com. Adeogun further disclosed that, “this milestone, coming just three months after the historic commissioning of the Local Government House, underscores Governor Makinde’s dedication to grassroots development. By elevating experienced and competent personnel from the Local Government system, he has demonstrated his belief in meritocracy, professionalism, and the capacity of the Local Government workforce to drive growth”

“We acknowledge this monumental step as not only a motivation for Local Government staff but also as a statement of trust in the system’s potential to deliver impactful governance at the grassroots level. This move is a testament to the Governor’s strategic approach to strengthening institutions and his commitment to inclusivity in governance”, he stated.

“As a Union representing the interests and welfare of Local Government employees, NULGE, Oyo State Chapter pledges its continued support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.

“We assure His Excellency of our dedication to ensuring that the workforce remains disciplined, efficient, and committed to the vision of sustainable development for the people of Oyo State.

“Once again, we express our deepest appreciation for this recognition and call on all appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by performing their duties with diligence, integrity, and a sense of purpose”, the statement concluded.
