Titilola-Sodo Hails Makinde For Paying 13th-Month Salary To Workers, Chicken Allowance To Pensioners

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has demonstrated unwavering dedication to employee well-being, exemplified by his consistent provision of a 13th-month salary for the fifth consecutive occasion.

Comrade Titilola-Sodo, the Special Adviser on Labour Affairs to the Governor, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the governor’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of the state’s workforce.

This exceptional gesture, coupled with the recently introduced chicken allowance to pensioners for the second time, showcases Governor Makinde’s commitment to ensuring that the hardworking citizens of Oyo State enjoy the fruits of their labor. The governor’s administration has consistently demonstrated a proactive approach to workers’ welfare, setting a commendable standard for other states to emulate.

Comrade Titilola-Sodo urged workers and labour leaders to always prioritize dialogue and peaceful engagements, highlighting the positive outcomes that can be achieved through collaboration between the government and labour unions.

It is worth noting that Governor Makinde’s administration has not only fulfilled but exceeded the promises made to workers, providing a six-month cash allowance of N25,000 and N15,000 to workers and pensioners, respectively.

This unparalleled commitment to meeting labour agreements sets Oyo State apart, as no other state in the country has matched the governor’s proactive initiatives.

Despite the challenges faced by many states in fulfilling their promises to workers, Governor Makinde’s administration has consistently delivered on its commitments, fostering a commendable relationship between the government and labour in the Pacesetter state.

The governor’s actions speak louder than words, reflecting a genuine dedication to improving the lives of Oyo State workers and pensioners.
