Senator Akintunde Mourns Former President Muhammadu Buhari

Senator Yunus Akintunde has mourned the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a man of integrity who gave his utmost in service to Nigeria.

In a personally signed statement, the Senator representing Oyo Central joined other notable Nigerians in reflecting on the life and legacy of the late statesman, who passed away in a London hospital after a period of illness.

“From Allah we come, and unto Him we shall return.”

“As the curtain falls on the life of President Muhammadu Buhari, I reflect on his reputation as an upright man—consistent in his beliefs and principles,” Senator Akintunde stated.

“Being President of Nigeria is no small task; it is an incredibly complex and demanding responsibility. Yet, President Buhari gave his best to the country. He was not perfect—just as no human is—but his commitment to national service was never in doubt.”

The Senator extended his condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the loss of his predecessor in office, and to the Nigerian people on the death of a respected leader.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant his family the strength to bear this loss,” he concluded.
