President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN, on his 67th birthday. The President praised his decades of dedicated service to the legal profession and his unwavering commitment to justice, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most respected legal minds.
President Tinubu commended Prince Fagbemi’s outstanding legal career, which began with his admission to the Nigerian Bar in 1985. He noted that his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) at a young age reflected his exceptional brilliance, discipline, diligence, and commitment to the legal profession. He also acknowledged his contributions to several professional bodies and public institutions.
The President further applauded Prince Fagbemi’s performance as Attorney General of the Federation since the administration assumed office in 2023. He credited him with providing sound legal guidance and leading important reforms aimed at strengthening the rule of law, improving the justice system, enhancing institutional coordination, and upholding the constitutional responsibilities of the Federal Government.
President Tinubu concluded by describing Prince Fagbemi as a man of integrity whose career has been guided by respect for constitutional democracy and justice. He prayed that Almighty God grants him many more years of good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving Nigeria and humanity.
