The Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum (OOIYSF) has commended the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), Prof. Jacob Olaniyi Babayemi, for his exemplary leadership, visionary administration and unwavering commitment to the rapid growth and development of the institution. The Forum described the Vice-Chancellor’s remarkable achievements as a clear demonstration of dedication to academic excellence, innovation and institutional transformation, noting that his stewardship has continued to position FUNATO as a centre of excellence and a catalyst for sustainable development in Oke-Ogun and Nigeria as a whole.
The Forum’s National President, Comrade Jonathan Ojedokun, also expressed profound appreciation to the Registrar, the Bursar, the University Librarian, other Principal Officers and the entire management team for their collective efforts in laying a solid foundation for a world-class university.

According to him, FUNATO remains a priceless heritage of the Oke-Ogun people, deserving of the unwavering support and cooperation of all stakeholders to enable it to attain greater heights in teaching, research, innovation and community development.
In recognition of Prof. Babayemi’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of the university, the Forum announced that he will be honoured with the Leadership Excellence Award during its 2026 Annual Get-Together Programme, scheduled to hold on Thursday, 16 July 2026, at Igboho City Hall, Orelope Local Government Area of Oyo State, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The event is expected to attract prominent personalities, traditional rulers, community leaders, youths and other stakeholders from across Oke-Ogun and beyond.
The Forum therefore congratulated Prof. Babayemi, the management, staff and students of FUNATO on the institution’s impressive progress, while calling on the people of Oke-Ogun and well-wishers to participate in the celebration of a distinguished administrator whose visionary leadership continues to inspire excellence and development. It reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth and success of FUNATO, describing the university as a cherished legacy that must be nurtured for the benefit of present and future generations.
