The Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land, Dr. Yunus Teliat Ayilara II has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
According to a release issued on Thursday which he personally signed, “It is with profound joy and a deep sense of brotherhood that I, Imam Yunus Olushina Teliat Ayilara II, PhD, the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land, extend my warmest congratulations to Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam on his well-deserved appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate.
He further explained that, the Ilorin Emirate holds a prestigious position as a beacon of Islamic scholarship and tradition in Nigeria. The selection of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam for such a pivotal leadership role is a divine mandate, and I am confident that he is endowed with the wisdom, erudition, and spiritual fortitude required to guide the Ummah along the path of righteousness, unity, and progress.
“As you step into this sacred office, you inherit a legacy of excellence and community cohesion. I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants you the grace to lead with transparency, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). May your tenure foster enduring peace and promote the values of tolerance and mutual understanding within Ilorin and its environs,” he prayed.
