The peace-loving people of Modékè Quarters of Igboho have formally withdrawn from the Igboho Day 2026 celebration, citing insincerity, divisiveness, and lack of trust and integrity by the event promoters.
This is contained in a communique jointly signed by Adesola Yaqub and Adigun Orunmila on behalf of all sons and daughters of Modeke Quarters, they expressed disappointment with the opaque and non-transparent processes, unilateral decisions, and attempts to humiliate traditional leaders.

The group accused the Central Planning Committee chairman of altering goodwill messages and manipulating the event programme for personal gain.
They warned against using people’s identities to promote illegitimate actions and announced their decision to pursue a united Igboho, founded on truth, justice, and love.
