Mama Cecilia Ugowe @ 89: Nigeria’s First Female DIG, Celebrated For Legendary Service

Mama Cecilia Adebisi Ugowe, a trailblazing icon, popularly refer to as mother of Nigeria Police Force on Sunday celebrated her 89th birthday by thanking the Lord for His manifold blessings upon her and her family.

This is contained in a press statement issued in Abuja by Pastor Gbemiga Olakunle (JP), the General Secretary of National Prayer Movement (NPM) and made available to newsmen on Sunday.

According to the statement, “as the first woman Commissioner of Police, first woman Force Secretary/Assistant Inspector-General of Police, and the first woman to attain the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police, she’s truly a legend”.

“Let’s honor her remarkable achievements and contributions to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation. Her dedication to the National Prayer Movement (NPM) and her role as a prayer warrior in the MFM are a testament to her strong faith and commitment to spiritual growth” the statement added.

In his words: “Here’s to celebrating Mama Cecilia Adebisi Ugowe’s life, legacy, and unwavering service to humanity! Wishing her a joyous 89th birthday filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments”.

“Congratulations on turning 89! Your presence in our lives is a gift we treasure every day”, he concluded.
