IBSW ADC Elects New Leaders As Adegoke Expresses Confidence In Winning Oyo

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State is gearing up for a strong comeback, with the party’s Ibadan South West Local Government Area electing new executives in a congress supervised by national leadership. The event was marked by a call to action from gubernatorial aspirant Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, who emphasized the party’s readiness to take over leadership in the state and Nigeria.

The congress was supervised by representatives of the national leadership of the party, led by a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Rasheed Afolabi.

It was attended by a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the party, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke (FCA), who hails from the local government area.

Party chieftains in attendance include Hon Wale Afolabi, Hon Oyetunde Oyetunji, Hon Tunde Adisa and others.

The local government congress produced 31 officials, among whom are: Mr Michael Omotosho as Chairman, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim as Vice Chairman, Hon Alimi Ganiyu as Secretary, Mrs Kemi Awolesin as Women Leader, Ibrahim Yunusa as Youth Leader and Saheed Ado as Publicity Secretary.

Others are Audu Muideen, Treasurer; Modinat Rasheed, Financial Secretary; Akinola Akeem, Welfare Secretary and Amidu Muili as Auditor.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the congress, Olooye Adegboyega Adegoke, the Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadan land noted that the party is ready to take over the mantle of leadership both in the state and Nigeria in general.

According to him, the party is the only party that can take Nigerians out of the present problems.

In his words: “The government in power do not want the opposition to exist. That is why they are doing what they are doing. But it is a collective responsibility to chase them out.

“ADC is ready to take over in the state and Nigeria in general. We need the support of the people, and that is why we are calling on the people to join our party. As I am talking to you now, ADC has better chances to win the next general elections in Oyo State. People should come so that we can form the next government in Nigeria and Oyo State”.
