From Screen to Scholarly Study: Femi Adebayo’s Milestone Achievement at OAU

Renowned actor Femi Adebayo has reached a new pinnacle of success as his artistic work has become the subject of academic research at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). The actor recently met with Oyinda Arike, an OAU student, who presented her research titled: “The Aesthetics of Oral Performance in Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors.” Adebayo expressed deep fulfillment and inspiration, noting that it’s thrilling to see his creative work transcend the stage and screen into academic study.

In his words: “I’m grateful to see my art echo beyond the stage and screen, into academia. What started as passion and discipline has grown into something bigger—a movement of its own.”

He further explained that the recognition has further motivated him to keep pushing creative boundaries and contributing to the growth of the Nigerian film industry.

This milestone highlights the expanding influence of Nigerian cinema and performance art within academic and cultural circles.
