FIFA President Celebrates Dikko’s NSC Appointment

The President of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, has expressed confidence in the capability of Malam Shehu Dikko to achieve success in his assignment as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission of Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message signed by Infantino and sent to Dikko on Thursday, October 31, the FIFA President stated that he is convinced that his knowledge, experience, passion and personal qualities will have significant impact in the discharge of his duties.

Infantino noted that there is already a lot of satisfaction across the populace on Dikko’s appointment and wished him “best of luck and every success” in the task.

FIFA and Infantino’s confidence in Dikko derives from the appreciation of his contributions in global sports both as as a member of FIFA Stakeholders Committee since 2017 to date and part of IFAB-FIFA Experts Panel in 2020.

Dikko is also the longest serving member of the Confederation of Africa Football Organising Committee on Inter-Clubs Competitions as well as the Club Licensing Committee since 2016 to date.
