Dotun Sanusi’s Gubernatorial Bid Receives Boost as Oyo Non-Indigene Group Donates Ford Pickup Truck

The Oyo Non-Indigene Group, led by Amb. Promise Ekpoye, Chairman, Board of Trustees and Hon. Ken Aka Boms Njinye, state Coordinator on Thursday presented a Ford Pickup Truck to Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, reinforcing their commitment to his gubernatorial ambition.

In a colourful presentation at Ilaji Resort, this gesture was accompanied by the unveiling of a banner inscribed with the message: “Accept the Call to Lead Oyo State Come 2027.”

Speaking during the presentation, Amb. Promise Ekpoye, Chairman, Board of Trustees, stated: “We, the non-indigenous community, are here to support Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi because we find him worthy to lead Oyo State. He has a proven track record of excellence, integrity, and commitment to service. His accomplishments in the oil and gas industry and the hospitality sector speak volumes about his character and ability. We believe he is the right leader for Oyo State in 2027, and on behalf of the Non-Indigenous Without Borders, we present this Ford Security Truck as a token of our support.”

In his brief remarks, Hon. Ken Aka Boms Njinye, the State Coordinator, said “This presentation reflects the love, care, and philanthropic spirit we have witnessed in Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi. He is a man loved by his people, a lover of youth, and a true philanthropist. We, the non-indigenous across the 33 local governments and 3 senatorial districts of Oyo State, assure him of our full support. Come 2027, we are committed to ensuring his success for the progress and prosperity of Oyo State,” he stated.

Chief Dotun Sanusi, in his acceptance speech, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the group’s kind gesture.

In his words: “I am deeply humbled by this gesture from the Oyo Non-Indigene Group. Your unwavering support and belief in my vision for Oyo State inspire me greatly. This donation is not just a token; it is a symbol of unity, hope, and shared commitment to building a better Oyo State. Together, with the support of every citizen, we will work tirelessly to create a state of prosperity, inclusivity, and opportunity for all. Thank you for standing with me on this journey toward 2027.”

This monumental act of support marks a significant milestone in the JDS Gubernatorial Movement, further solidifying Dr. Dotun Sanusi’s reputation as a leader committed to service and the betterment of Oyo State.
