
As the 2025 Hajj pilgrims return home, the Balogun of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, has extended his warm congratulations to the Oyo State contingent, commending Governor Seyi Makinde’s unwavering support for a successful and spiritually enriching experience.
This is contained in a press release issued and personally signed by His Royal Majesty and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday.

According to him, “having performed Hajj previously, I particularly wish to appreciate and commend the Governor on the choice of Ustaz Mogaji Azeem Abdulwahab Atere as the Chairman of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board as his vast knowledge of Hajj operations, peerless humility, emotional and native intelligence made this particular Hajj the very best for Oyo state Hajj contingent”
“Also worthy of appreciation are the Amirah Hajj, Hajia Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Alhaji Babatunde Tijani (Double T), Hon. Akeem Oladeji and others who provided the leadership that gave Pilgrims from Oyo state an Hajj experience to cherish for a lifetime.
“I beseech almighty Allah to grant all the prayers said for our amiable Governor, Oyo state and Nigeria in general also praying that Allah shall grant the Governor continued wisdom and tenacity to offer the best of governance to the Pace setters’ state and take our darling Governor to higher heights for a bigger responsibility in service to the nation.
“I congratulate Alhajis and Alhajas from Oyo state, I wish to admonish them to regard the sanctity of the Hajj rites they just concluded and endeavour to manifest the teachings of Hajj in their daily undertakings forthwith”, he concluded.
