Alli bags Most Valuable Senator Award

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) was recognised as the Most Valuable, Outstanding, and Performing Senator at the 14th Young Achievers Nigeria Awards.

Alli, who was represented by his Media Aide, Akeem Abas, received the award during an elaborate event held at Ibis Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday evening.

Alli expressed gratitude for the prestigious award, attributing it to the collective commitment and hard work of his team as well as the people of Oyo South whom he serves.

“This recognition is not just a testament to my efforts but a reflection of the collective commitment and hard work of my team as well as the wonderful people of Oyo South whom I have the privilege to serve,”

The lawmaker emphasised the importance of ensuring democratic dividends for the constituents, reiterating his commitment to excellence, transparency and accounting in public service.

He commended the organisers for the honour and pledged to redouble his efforts in serving the community, while advocating for policies that uplift and empower the people in his district.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award of Most Valuable, Outstanding and Performing Senator of the Year.

“This accolade is a reminder of the immense responsibility we hold as public servants to strive for excellence, transparency, and accountability in all our endeavours,”he said.

Alli called on Nigerians to unite in building a better Nigeria, where the voices of the youth play a pivotal role in driving progress and prosperity.

He dedicated the award to his team, the people of Oyo South, and the youth of Nigeria, whose resilience, innovation, as well as determination inspire them all.

Earlier, Mr. Ibrahim Adeduntan, the convener of the award, said the significance of recognising individuals who have made notable contributions to society.

He said that the importance of recognising and celebrating excellence was to inspire others to contribute positively to society.
