Alayande Varsity VC felicitates Alumni President, Kola Amole as he bags CCII Distinguished Fellow Award

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes on Thursday conferred a Distinguished Fellow Award on the National President, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Alumni Association, Mr. Kola Amole for his outstanding commitments to the cause of Ibadanland. The Business Launcheon event formed part of the ongoing Ibadan Week Festival 2024.

According to a release made available by the University’s Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye, congratulating the award recipient, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan described the awardee as an alumnus who is committed to the cause of not only Ibadanland but our great institution, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo. According to the University helmsman, “I join the University Alumni family to celebrate our Alumni National President and Council Member, Mr. Kola Amole on the conferment of a Distinguished Fellow Award on him by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes. To us as an institution, a golden fish has no hiding place and little can we wonder that Ibadanland has fished out one of their best. On behalf of the Council Chairman, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle, Council, Senate, Management, Staff and Students, I congratulate you on this new feat. May you continue to be useful to humanity”.

The Awardee and National President, Mr. Kola Amole, a 1982 graduate of Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan is a 1987 graduate of Economics/Political Science at St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo (now Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo). Having taught briefly at St. Theresa’s College, Ibadan, he proceeded to the UK, where he studied Business and Finance at the University of North London, from where he graduated in 1992. He also obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma and a Licentiate in Management Science, from the Graduate School of Management, London, U.K. Mr. Amole is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (FIMC). He is an accomplished, adaptable and result-driven businessman,with over 30 years combined experience in Business Development, Procurement, Construction, Real-Estate, Hospitality, Agribusiness and Sustainable Development, with a proven track record of exceeding performance expectations, remaining customer-focused and adhering to specifications, budgets and timescales. He is happily married to Mrs. Oluwatomilayo Amole (a banker), and their marriage is blessed with adorable children.

The Business Luncheon session which was chaired by Dr. Fola Akinosun was compéred by Dr Adetunbi Saheed Ige of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and had highly successful and influential guest speakers like Dr. Mrs Aderonke Esther Adegbite, an Associate Professor of Law from Lead City University; Mrs Bunmi Odumosu, CEO, Slayer’s Corner Ibadan; Dr Alfred Adeniyi Atiba, a capacity development and performance coach and Dr Oyenike Adeleke
Business Consultant and Motivational Speaker.
