Alayande Varsity To Continue Partnering With Nigeria Police on Security – VC

The Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment towards partnering with the Nigerian Police Authority in ensuring adequate security for members of the university community.

In a statement made available by the Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye, the Vice-Chancellor made this statement while formally presenting a computer set to the Divisional Police Officer of the Ojongbodu Police Division, Michael Akano. Speaking through the Director, Directorate of Campus Security, Dr Adebayo Salako, the University Chief Executive states, “I wish to express our University’s profound appreciation to the Nigerian Police for the support our institution is enjoying over the years in the area of security. This extends to other security outfits as your collaborations have been so productive. Sincerely, the relative peace we have enjoyed in the University community is a testament to your unwavering commitment in the area of security. ”

Speaking further, “when your Division approached us for support, as an institution that places much premium on security, it became very expedient to us to rally round to support you. I therefore promise that our administration shall continue to partner with you and other security agencies towards having a secured environment for our staff, students, and members of the University community, ” the University Chief Security Officer submitted.

In his brief response, the Divisional Police Officer, Ojongbodu, Michael Akano, thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan and his Management team for the gesture. “Today, our joy knows no bounds as you gift us a computer set. Honestly, I am so delighted and I cannot hide this. On behalf of the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Sonubi Ayodele, Oyo Area Commander, and my officers in the Ojongbodu Police Division, I express our deep appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and Management of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo for this huge gift. I assure you that the Ojongbodu Divisional Police shall make good use of it”.

The Vice-Chancellor was represented by the Director, Directorate of Campus Security, Dr Adebayo Salako; Dean, Student Affairs, Dr Wole Akinlabi and the Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye.
