Alayande Varsity Alumni Association to Organize Maiden Lecture

Arrangements have been concluded by the National Executive Council of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Alumni Association to organize the 1st Annual Alumni Lecture. The Alumni body comprises graduates from the defunct (St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo; Oyo State College of Education, Oyo and Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo).

According to a release jointly signed by the National President, Mr. Kola Amole and the National Secretary, Dr. Sophia Adeyeye, the 1st Annual Lecture titled, “Bridging The Town and Gown: Alumni Association and the University System in an Unpredictable World” will be delivered by Professor Sola Owonibi of the Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu while His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE will be the Special Guest of Honour. The release further noted that the event will hold on Tuesday, 25 June, 2024 at the University’s Twin 250-Capacity Hall, Faculty of Science Education by 12noon prompt.

Corroborating the release, the Chairman, Lecture Planning Committee, Dr. Sikiru M. Raimi states, “all arrangements have been concluded to have the maiden Annual Alumni Lecture and I can assure you that the enabling environment created for us by the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Host, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan is a plus to the realization of the objectives of this lecture. I call on all alumni of the defunct St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo; Oyo State College of Education, Oyo and Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo to attend this historic lecture. It promises to be great”, stated the renowned Scientist.
