Tinubu’s Daughter Visits Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Appeals For Patience Over Current Economic Hardship

The daughter of President Bola Tinubu, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and exercise patient amid the ongoing economic challenges facing Nigeria.

Tinubu-Ojo, who is also the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria made the appeal in Ibadan on Sunday during a visit to the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola at his Agodi GRA residence.

She expressed her concern for the welfare of citizens battling with rising inflation and economic hardship across the country.

The Iyaloja-General emphasized the government’s of President Tinubu’s commitment to implementing measures targeted at alleviating the hardships being experienced by many families.

She recalled her first encounter with the Aare in Saudi Arabia many years ago during one of her Hajj trips, and how she was encouraged to sponsor others to the holy land, noting that the wise counsel of Alhaji Akinola impacted her life positively and has since become part of her.

She equally noted that the government of President Tinubu was aware of the difficulties Nigerians are facing while stressing the need for unity and support for one another in this trying period.

“It was like this between 1999 and 2001 in Lagos State but Lagosians later pleaded with my dad to contest for second term,” Tinubu-Ojo said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Aare Musulumi, Alhaji Akinola, who lauded Tinubu-Ojo for her selflessness and dedication to the service of humanity through her commitment to the welfare of women and children assured that despite the prevailing economic situation in the country, Nigeria would come out stronger and better.

He emphasized the importance of unity and resilience in overcoming the current economic challenges and called on religious and community leaders to work together in promoting peace and understanding that would deepen the spirit of collectiveness.

Alhaji Akinola declared that collaboration was essential for the desired progress and that Nigerians must come together in the spirit of brotherhood regardless of religious or political differences to support government to overcome the current situation.

Highlight of the visit was the official announcement of appointment and presentation of the appointment letter to the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Akinola as the Grand Patron of Tinubu Legacy Forum, a Non Governmental Socio-political organization.

In the entourage of Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo were Hon. Egragor, Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold, Chairman, Oyo State Agricultural Credit Corporation; Amb. (Alh) Chief Ganiyu Akeem Adesina, BOT Chairman of Tinubu Legacy Forum and Chief Mrs E.B Dokun, National Women Leader TLF.

Also present were the Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaji Y. K. Abass; AbdulRasheed Adewale Abdulazeez, Special Assistant on Islamic Affairs to Governor Seyi Makinde and others.
