The Community Health Institute (CHI) has announced a significant step towards strengthening specialized health education in Nigeria.
The Director of the Community Health Institute (CHI), Dr. Risikat Onawola, recently disclosed this when she visited the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, with her team.

Dr. Onawola revealed that the visit served as follow-up to the earlier visit by the Registrar/CEO of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN), Dr. Idris Bashir, who had previously laid the groundwork for a partnership between the hospital and CHI.
According to her, “the partnership aims to enable the hospital to mount CHI’s Postgraduate Diploma programs in specialized areas of Community and Primary Health Care”
“Both parties have reaffirmed their commitment to the partnership and will reconvene next month for the official signing and formal kick-off of the collaboration.
In her words: “Strategic alliance is a pivotal move towards strengthening Nigeria’s health workforce through innovation-driven, practice-based training”
“At CHI, we remain dedicated to empowering healthcare institutions and professionals through education, collaboration, and a shared vision for community health advancement”, she concluded.
