Oke-Ogun Crusaders Holds Inaugural Meeting Amidst Reflections

In the spirit of willingness for speedy social development of Oke-Ogun as a people, the Oke-Ogun Crusaders held its inaugural meeting on Saturday, September 9, 2023, and participants at the event took the time to reflect on diverse images of Oke-Ogun as a people.

In his welcome address, the President of the group, Mr. Oladimeji Adewole expressed appreciation for members’ impressive presence at the meeting, urging them to accept the philosophy of the group as tenet for the overall development of Oke-Ogun.

Adewole noted that the Crusaders was not a fresh formation though, its “founding principles should flow directly from the collective aspirations of our leaders including those who have passed on in the chase for our development.”

“The Crusaders is inaugurated this day as a non-political association with required level of courage and determination to give devotion to the cause of our growth. The founding principles of this formation should flow directly from the aspirations of our leaders including those who have passed on…,” Adewole said.

Speaking further, he cleared that the group was not a competing composite entity in the midst of several other development based organizations in Oke-Ogun.

Other members who spoke at the event were Barr. Leke Oladeji, Alhaji Kunle Kareem and Dr. Thomas Olayode. The threesome contributors, essentially, noted there was a need to come together and lift the standard of Oke-Ogun in joint adventures.

The Oke-Ogun Crusaders then, passed the following resolutions as closing activity through a communique jointly signed by its pro-tem President and the Secretary, Mr. Dimeji Adewole and Thomas Supo Olayode respectively.

The communique notes the peaceful and civic disposition of Oke-Ogun indigenes to law and order anywhere they reside in the world.

That the Oke-Ogun Crusaders is a bona-fide establishment profiled to respond to those social-cultural circumstances as they concern Oke-Ogun people.

That the Oke-Ogun Crusaders is not a political platform but will be sensitive to those political initiatives bothering on the conditions of Oke-Ogun people.

That the formation is concerned about the spate of general insecurity in Oke-Ogun, especially the unprovoked attack on lives and property by vile elements.

That the Oke-Ogun Crusaders demand the revamping of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, located in Saki for the main purpose of fair leverage on information sharing.

That the overall nature of the Oke-Ogun Crusaders is its selfless ministerial action deployment for the repositioning of the entire Oke-Ogun socio-economic and political space.
