In a statement signed by the NUJ Chairman, Ademola Babalola, and Secretary, Sola Oladapo, the union urged Alamu and her executive members to prioritize the welfare of members and operate an open-door administration.
The statement reads, “We congratulate Omolola Alamu and her executive members on their well-deserved election.
“We charge them to embrace all members and operate an inclusive administration that promotes the welfare and interests of all NAWOJ members in Oyo State.”
The union also admonished the new executives to work towards a virile, peaceful, and prosperous NAWOJ in the state, saying, “We urge them to build bridges, foster unity and promote professionalism among members.
“We are confident that they have the capacity to take NAWOJ to greater heights,” the NUJ added.
Other members of the new executive include Bola Okanlawon (Vice Chairperson); Eniola Adeaga (Secretary); Opeyemi Ogunniyi (Assistant Secretary); Mosun Akinola (Treasurer); Kehinde Igbari (Financial Secretary); and Temitope Oyewole (Auditor).
The NUJ statement wishes the new executives a successful tenure and offers its support and cooperation in advancing the interests of journalists in Oyo State.
