MSSN B-Zone: 10,000 Delegates Expected at 2024 Islamic Vacation Course

The formal opening ceremony of 2024 Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) being organized by the B-Zone of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) will hold on 26th December, 2024 at the IVC permanent site, Kilometer 30, Ibadan – Lagos Expressway, Imolisa Village, Ogunmakin, Ogun State.

The President (Amir) of MSSN B-Zone, Dr. Moshood Kolawole stated this in Ibadan while addressing newsmen on the 114th edition of the IVC which will be held from 23rd of December, 2024 to 1st January 2025 where about 10,000 delegates are expected to participate.

According to Dr. Kolawole, the aim of the programme was to address various distractions faced by the youths in society and to equip the youths with knowledge and faith to thrive in all aspects of life.

He emphasized that, the programme had for decades been a beacon of knowledge, spirituality and community empowerment for Muslim youths and the larger Muslim community across Nigeria.

“Over the years, the IVC has attracted participants from diverse sectors of the society which included students, Islamic workers, scholars, government officials, and captains of industry. This programme has become a unique platform where Muslim youths are inspired, empowered, and enriched both spiritually and intellectually”, he added.

“Since its inception, the IVC has consistently provided a nurturing environment for thousands of Muslim youths to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings and foster leadership qualities and a sense of social responsibility.”

Dr. Kolawole further disclosed that, Justice Abdur-Raheem Sayi, the Quaadi of the Shariah Court of Appeal in Kwara State will grace the event as the Guest Speaker.

He urged Muslim brothers and sisters to attend the programme which according to him would offer a unique opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation and personal development.

Speaking on sponsorship opportunities, “we offer a range of sponsorship packages for individuals and corporate organisations willing to support this laudable initiative. Your sponsorship will help in providing essential amenities and creating an impactful experience for participants”

According to him, “the estimated budget for this year’s IVC stands at over #600 million. However, registration fees are projected to cover only about #100,000 million of the total cost”

In his words: “We are therefore appealing to corporate bodies, government agencies, and kind-hearted individuals to support this noble cause and help bridge the financial gap. Your contributions will enable us to provide a conducive environment for spiritual and personal growth “, he added.

In his brief remark, the IVC organizer, Malam Alli AbdulSalam, said several lectures would be delivered at the programme which would widen the knowledge of Muslims about Islam.

AbdulSalam added that the programme would also help to reduce immorality in the society, appealing to parents to bring their children to the valuable programme.
