May Day: Dotun Sanusi Hails Oyo Workers – Declares Makinde Workers’ Friendly Governor

An industrialist and international business mogul, Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi has hailed workers in Oyo State for their uncommon resilience and Ingenuity.

Engr. Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, gave the commendation on Wednesday while delivering his remarks at an event organized in commemoration of the Year 2024 Workers’ Day held at Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Jubril Dotun Sanusi who was the Chairman of the occasion lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for prioritizing the welfare of workers in Oyo State through prompt payment of their salaries as and when due.

The Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort said workers and Labour leaders in Oyo State have remained resilient, and hardworking and have kept commerce alive at all levels despite challenges in various sectors such as transportation, power, housing, and economy among others.

His words, “With great pleasure, I welcome you all to this auspicious occasion as we celebrate the resilience and dedication of the Nigerian workforce on this May Day Celebration.

“I extend a heartfelt welcome to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, the most Workers friendly Governor in Nigeria. Engr Seyi Makinde, your presence here today through your Deputy, His Excellency, Adebayo Lawal is a testament to your unwavering commitment to the welfare and empowerment of workers across our beloved state. Your leadership serves as a guiding light for us all.

“As we come together to recognize the invaluable contributions of workers to our nation and Oyo State’s progress, let us also acknowledge the collective efforts of individuals and organizations dedicated to creating an enabling environment for our workforce to thrive.Together, we stand united in our pursuit of a brighter future for all” he stated.

“To the hardworking workers whose labor drives our economy forward, I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude. Your dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence are the backbone of our nation’s success, and for that, we are immensely grateful.

“On this Workers’ Day, let us rededicate ourselves to upholding the rights and dignity of every worker and to building a society where every individual has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

“Thank you all for joining us today, and may this celebration serve as a reminder of the importance of honoring and supporting our workforce.
