LG POLL: Senator Alli Boosts Oyo APC Candidates’ Chance of Winning With #5 Million

In a show of solidarity and support ahead of the upcoming April 27 Local Government election in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has donated a total sum of N13 million to the party and its candidates.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Senator Alli’s donation was aimed at enhancing the campaign efforts of the party and its candidates’ chance of winning the forthcoming Local Government election.

The announcement of the donation was made during a meeting with the candidates at the party Secretariat in Ibadan, where Senator Alli reaffirmed his dedication to fostering unity and progress within the party.

The significant contribution was distributed strategically to support the nine local government chairmanship candidates in Oyo South with N300,000 each, while the 99 councillors received N50,000 each.

Additionally, the party structures in the nine local governments within the district received N500,000 each, among other allocations.

He said that the support also serves as a testament to his belief in the importance of grassroots democracy and effective representation.

Alli counseled the candidates, emphasising the need for unity, dedication, and commitment to the party’s values and objectives.

A former Majority Leader in the House of Assembly, Hon. Kehinde Subair, also offered valuable counsel to the candidates during the meeting.

Subair stressed the need for unity, purpose-driven leadership, and effective communication in political campaigns.

The collective wisdom and experience shared by Alli, Subair and other party leaders present, served as a source of guidance and inspiration for the candidates as they prepare for the electoral contest.

Meanwhile, the senator’s hands-on support and mentorship further demonstrated his vested interest in the success and progress of the APC in Oyo State

Senator Alli’s guidance and words of encouragement are reflective of his leadership style, which prioritises collaboration, inclusivity and integrity in political endeavours.

His involvement in the electoral process goes beyond financial contributions, as he actively engages with the candidates to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to the upcoming local government election.
