The League of Muslim School Proprietors Worldwide (LEAMSP), Ogun State Chapter, has taken note of a viral video featuring Pastor David Oyedepo, where he encouraged Muslim parents to enroll their children in Islamic and Muslim-owned schools. According to Pastor Oyedepo, Muslim parents paying school fees in Christian schools are like “tenants who have no say” in the affairs of such schools.
LEAMSP’s Chairman in Ogun State, Ustaadh AbdulAzeez Ajibola, sees this statement as a wake-up call for Muslims to value and support their own educational institutions.

He emphasized the importance of patronizing Muslim schools, citing the Quran (5:2), “And help one another in righteousness and piety, but do not help one another in sin and transgression.”
Ajibola observed that according to recent data, Muslim schools are not only on par with their counterparts in terms of quality but have excelled in national examinations. The 2025 JAMB results revealed that the highest scorers all came from Muslim schools. An Islamic school offers both sound Western education and Islamic principles, instilling moral discipline and nation-building values.
LEAMSP warns that many Christian mission schools still maintain the underlying goal of converting Muslim students to Christianity, using education as a tool for religious influence. Families who continue to patronize such schools risk raising the last generation of Muslims in their lineage.
Ajibola further challenged those who doubt the quality of Muslim schools, stressing that these institutions uphold both academic excellence and moral uprightness—unlike some schools where end-of-session events openly promote indecent dressing under the guise of fashion.
He urged Muslim parents to fear Allah, reminding them that they will be held accountable for the upbringing of their children.
Quran says:*”And help one another in righteousness and piety, but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear God; His punishment is indeed severe.” (Qur’an 5:2)
The Prophet Muhammad said: “A Muslim has six rights over another Muslim: greeting him with salam, accepting his invitation, advising him when he seeks advice, praying for Allah’s mercy when he sneezes, visiting him when he is sick, and following his funeral when he dies.” (Muslim)
Ajibola stressed that Helping Fellow Muslims in business is an act of worship,Prophet Muhammad said: “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or the oppressed. If he is an oppressor, stop him from oppression; if he is oppressed, help him.” (Muslim)
“Muslim schools must continue to uphold truth, preserve Islam, and protect its noble image. You are the heroes of our time. While some use propaganda to weaken your resolve, remain steadfast — for indeed, Allah is with us,” the statement concluded.
