I’m aware of your challenges, there will be transformation- Tinubu says to teachers

President Bola Tinubu affirms his administration’s commitment to modernize the country’s education system according to global standards.

Speaking at the 2023 World Teachers Day celebration in Abuja, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu expressed that the federal government, in partnership with states and private school owners, would enhance teachers’ working conditions. He emphasized the importance of investing in educational infrastructure to align with the world’s progress.

Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced by teachers, including overcrowded classrooms, limited resources, and the need for professional development.

He pledged to bring about a transformation in these circumstances and commended the extension of the retirement age for teachers to 65, emphasizing the importance of modern teaching skills, especially in information technology.
