
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing grassroots healthcare as the Oyo State Government, in collaboration with UNICEF, launched the Integrated Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign at the Local Government Secretariat.
Representing the First Lady, Engr. (Mrs) Tamunominini Makinde, the Chairman of Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Hon. Dada Awoleye, commended Ibadan North-East Local Government for its active participation in state-led health programs, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in achieving universal health coverage.

Speaking at the event, Honourable Ibrahim Akintayo reiterated that his administration will not relent in supporting all government initiatives that promote the wellbeing of residents, especially children and mothers.
“At Ibadan North-East, we believe health is wealth. This campaign is another bold step in ensuring a healthy future for our children, and we will keep mobilizing our people to embrace it fully,” Hon. Akintayo stated.
In his brief remarks, the Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Chief Akin Fagbemi, called on parents and guardians to ensure that their children are vaccinated, assuring them that qualified health workers are available across all wards within the local government.
The event featured symbolic administration of vaccines to children and distribution of health materials to mothers, officially signaling the commencement of the campaign across Ibadan North-East Local Government Area.
