His Eminence, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States has extended heartfelt felicitations to Sheikh Muhiydeen Salman Hussein, the Grand Chief Imam of Offa on his birthday.
This is contained in a statement which he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Monday in Ibadan.
Alhaji Akinola, who is also the Aare of Ibadanland lauded Sheikh Hussein’s outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Islam and Muslim Hummah in Nigeria.
According to him, Sheikh Hussein has become a sought after Muslim Scholar for various Islamic programmes as a result of his charismatic and gifted oratory skills.
“His captivating and pleasant style of sermon delivery has greatly contributed to his widespread popularity which usually attracts large crowds and followers wherever he delivers lecture” he added.
“His early commitment, frankness and passion for propagation of Islam quickly set him apart, allowing him to progress and establish himself as a significant Islamic Cleric in Nigeria and beyond” he stated.
He, however, admonished Islamic preachers across the country to be bold as lion and fears no one except the Almighty Allah in their deliveries. He thereafter enjoined other Islamic preachers to emulate the virtues of the Grand Chief Imam of Offaland, Sheikh Hussein.
In his words: “Any preacher worth his onions should be able to hit the nail on the head during his sermons not minding whose ore is gored according to the directives from the Almighty Allah and in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhàmmed (PBUH)”.
“It was only the bold Islamic preachers that could bring about the necessary change required to make the country a better place for all and guarantee rapid socio-economic development for the betterment of the populace” he stated.
Aare Akinola fervently pray that Almighty Allah (swt) in His infinite mercy will grant him long life in sound health with abundance prosperity.
