The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated its Patron, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his elevation to the prestigious chieftaincy title of Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, describing the honour as a fitting recognition of his exceptional commitment to humanitarian service, community development, and the socio-economic advancement of Ibadanland. The Council also praised the renowned philanthropist and business leader as a worthy patron whose selfless deployment of his resources, influence, and goodwill has positively transformed countless lives across Oyo State and beyond.
The State Council noted that Chief Sanusi’s unwavering commitment to education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic development has continued to impact countless lives, earning him widespread admiration and respect from different segments of society.

According to the statement, his elevation to the prestigious position of Gbonka Olubadan is not only a testament to his exemplary character and distinguished service to Ibadanland but also a fitting honour for a man whose leadership has consistently inspired hope and progress.

The NUJ Oyo State Council expressed confidence that Chief Sanusi, who is also the Okanlomo Oodua would continue to deploy his wealth of experience, wisdom, and passion for service in advancing the cultural heritage, peace, and sustainable development of Ibadanland while complementing the efforts of the Olubadan-in-Council.
The Council prayed Almighty God to grant Chief Dotun Sanusi good health, greater wisdom, and a long, fulfilling life as he assumes the responsibilities of his new traditional rank, while wishing him continued success in all his endeavours.
