The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on Friday formally installed the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, as the Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland during a colourful ceremony at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan. The revered monarch conferred the prestigious title on Chief Sanusi alongside other eminent members of the Civil Line of the Olubadan Chieftaincy, marking another important chapter in the continuous advancement of the ancient and highly respected traditional institution.
The elevation of Chief Dotun Sanusi represents another remarkable milestone in his illustrious traditional journey and stands as a fitting recognition of his steadfast loyalty to the Olubadan Chieftaincy Institution and his enduring commitment to the progress and development of Ibadanland.
