We pray that Almighty God grants him the wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to lead our great party to a resounding victory in the forthcoming governorship election. We also express our profound appreciation to APC leaders, stakeholders, members, supporters, and the good people of our constituency for their steadfast commitment to the progressive ideals of our party, while calling on all faithful members to unite behind our governorship candidate in the collective interest of securing electoral victory and advancing the progress of Oyo State.
According to the statement, as a loyal and committed progressive, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO) believes that the period of internal contest is over. The time has now come for reconciliation, unity, strategic collaboration, and collective mobilisation toward achieving electoral victory for the APC across Oyo State.
In his words: “political contests naturally produce different interests and preferences, but once the party has spoken, every loyal member has a responsibility to stand behind its decisions. The APC has always been strongest whenever its leaders, stakeholders, aspirants, youths, women, and grassroots supporters work together with one purpose and one vision.”
“History reminds us that after every competitive primary election comes the greater responsibility of building consensus and presenting a united front. Elections are not won through division but through solidarity, discipline, effective grassroots engagement, and unwavering loyalty to the party,” he added.
Hon. Ogunbayo, however, passionately appeals to every aspirant, campaign organisation, ward executive, local government leader, party elder, youth group, women leader, and supporter across Oyo State to put aside every grievance arising from the primary process and wholeheartedly support the candidacy of Senator Sarafadeen Alli.
“This is not the time for bitterness, unnecessary arguments, or political distractions. It is the time to strengthen our structures, deepen consultations, reconnect with the grassroots, and work tirelessly to deliver victory for the APC at every level,” he stated.
