With deep sorrow, the Olubadan Palace announces the passing of Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, who peacefully joined his ancestors on Friday after a brief illness. In honour of his revered memory, the Palace, through Chief Olugbemiga Ayoade, the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, the Palace has adjusted upcoming royal proceedings, including postponing the installation of Mogajis and Baales.
Consequently, the installation of Mogajis and Baales, originally scheduled for Monday, 15th June 2026, has been postponed. The ceremony will now be held on Monday, 22nd June, 2026.

His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, along with the members of the Olubadan-in-Council, extends heartfelt commiserations to the immediate family, indigenes, and residents of Ibadanland. His Imperial Majesty described the demise of the traditional ruler as a significant loss to the ancient city.
Until his transition, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada was a highly valued member of the Olubadan-in-Council, where he served with dedication as the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
