Oyo State APC leaders have put months of speculation to rest by formally presenting Senator Sharafadeen Alli to President Bola Tinubu as the party’s governorship candidate. Led by former Deputy Governor and Oyo APC Chairman Chief Moses Adeyemo, the high-profile delegation also included former Deputy Governor Chief Iyiola Oladokun, Senator Ayoade Adeseun, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle and the APC National Deputy Auditor, Mr Gbenga Olayemi and Mr Soji Adedeji, signalling a united front behind Alli’s bid.
The APC leaders also introduced the party’s senatorial candidates to the President as part of efforts to showcase the party’s preparedness and unity ahead of future electoral contests.
The senatorial candidates presented were Hon. Remi Oseni for Oyo South, Sen. Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central, and Chief (Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan for Oyo North Senatorial District.
The presentation reaffirmed the party’s confidence in Alli’s candidacy and demonstrated a united front among Oyo APC stakeholders, signalling readiness to reclaim power in the state.
