Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Management, on Thursday, played host to the Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Abel Oche Odoba who was on a courtesy visit, at the Erelu Campus of the institution.
According to a release by the Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan in his welcome address, expressed his delight in having the NYSC State Coordinator around. According to the University Chief Executive, “I am delighted to receive you on behalf of the Governing Council and Management of our university. It means a lot to us when one receives the number one NYSC State Officer in your office, and we are not taking this for granted at all. Our university is a new one but not a new institution as it transited from the old College to the University. However, we require collaboration and support from various bodies, agencies, and institutions-NYSC inclusive. It is on this note that I want to specially appreciate you, Sir, for your support to our institution in the area of supply of quality corp members. I must state that our corp members have been very cooperative and supportive in our joint drive of having a world-class institution. As an Oliver Twist, we plead that you give us more quality corp members.”

Responding, the NYSC State boss, Mr. Abel Oche Odoba, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his Management team for the hospitality given to him. “I am happy to be here today on a courtesy visit to your institution. NYSC is for the state, and my joy is in hearing good reports about my corp members anytime I travel around the State as a fostered father. I am happy with the positive reports I am getting, and the report of your hospitality, as given by my corp members, too. We will continue to partner with your University and I assure you of our support as a body. Once again, I thank you for the warm reception and wish your institution the very best.”
The Vice-Chancellor was joined by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Olatunde Salawu; Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo; Bursar, Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola, FCA and the University Librarian, Dr Olatundun Oluwatoyin Oyewumi to receive the NYSC State Chief Executive.
