Wewe LCDA Boss Embarks on Massive Road Rehabilitation

In his determination to ensure free flow of traffic in order to improve commercial activities and enhance the living standard of his people, Hon. Abdulrahman Tiamiyu, the Political Head of Wewe LCDA has embarked on massive road rehabilitation by grading community roads.

According to the Council boss, the first phase of the grading exercise covers Apinnite/Prince and Princess area; Agolabi area to Asabari Grammar School; Aisha area, along Ogboro Road; Fehintola area; Challenge 1 and Winners Chapel to Aduke Peters’ area, Challenge all within Wewe LCDA, Saki.

Hon. Tiamiyu, while inspecting the grading exercise, expressed his deep gratitude to the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership through various people oriented developmental projects across the state which serves as role model to the 33 local government Chairmen in Oyo State.

He further expressed his appreciation to Hon. Gbenga Akinola, the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government for his support since assumption of office.

Hon. Tiamiyu, who is also the Vice Chairman of Saki West Local Government, assured other communities in Wewe Local Council Development Area that the grading exercise will get to their area during the second phase of the project which will commence next week.

He, however, disclosed that the good people of Wewe LCDA should expect more people oriented developmental projects and programmes in line with his electioneering campaign promises for the betterment of the populace.

A community leader at Aisha area of the LCDA, Mr Azeez Shuaib greatly commended Hon. Tiamiyu for his commitment towards improving the living standard of his people.

According to him, the road rehabilitation will go a long way in preventing the persistent threat of erosion, which has been disturbing residents of the community.

In his words: “On behalf of the entire people of Aisha community, I sincerely express our profound appreciation for your positive and quick action in order to ensure free flow of traffic and to guard against flood disaster that may lead to loss of lives and properties”.
