The Olubadan-In-Council has made a historic decision, formally nominating Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. This pivotal move follows a closed-door meeting held on Monday at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, presided over by Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola.
The nomination of Oba Ladoja was moved by Oba Tajudeen Ajibola and seconded by the Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole at the meeting.

“All members of the Olubadan-In-Council have signed and endorsed Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland,” Oba Ajibola stated.
He further disclosed that the Council’s resolution would be formally submitted to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who will determine the date for the presentation of the staff of office to the new monarch.
“With the burial of the late Olubadan scheduled for this week, the installation will not take place immediately.
The governor may choose to hold the ceremony in one, two, or three weeks’ time,” Oba Ajibola explained.
