Nigeria @ 64: Sheriff Adeojo Urges Nigerians to Pray, Support Govt for Prosperity

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has said that prayer and dedication are the ways through which Nigerians can support the country to prosperity and greatness at a challenging period like this.

Hon. Sheriff Adeojo in his 64 independence messages to the people of Nigeria cautioned Nigerians to desist from the habit of cursing their country and being negative-minded about programs and projects in the country, rather they should keep praying for her success towards prosperity.

The Council boss affirmed that if God touches the minds of our leaders through prayers, it’s then reprieve can come to the followers and things will go on smoothly to lessen the hardship in the land.

“It is a fact that things are not easy with the hike in prices of goods and services which are not commensurate with the average income in Nigeria, we should keep praying to God to touch the minds of those behind the hardship”.

The Chairman therefore called on those at the helm of affairs in Nigeria as a matter of urgency to do something meaningful to cushion the effect of hardship being experienced by the people.

Hon. Adeojo, however, called on Nigerian leaders that it is high time attention is paid to issues of insecurity and economic inequality ravaging the country.
