Dotun Sanusi Dedicates Birthday to Oke Elesin Tragedy Victims

The Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has dedicated his 56th birthday celebration to the victims of the tragic incident that occurred at Oke Elesin on Monday.

In a heartfelt gesture, Chief Sanusi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and offered prayers for the families affected by the disaster.

He made this declaration in Ibadan early Thursday morning as he was greeted by well-wishers who stormed Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort with drums and trumpets to celebrate his milestone birthday.

Chief Dotun Sanusi, despite the outpouring of love and celebration, remained focused on the sober reality faced by those mourning in the wake of the Oke Elesin tragedy.

In his words: “As much as I appreciate the love and celebration surrounding my 56th birthday, my heart remains with the families of those who lost their lives in the Oke Elesin incident”

“In their memory, I dedicate this special day to them and offer my prayers for strength and comfort to their families,” he stated.

The Asiwaju of Ona Ara Local Government further emphasized the importance of community support during difficult times and pledged to continue his efforts toward ensuring peace, safety, and development in Oyo State.

The 56th birthday anniversary celebration of Chief Dotun Sanusi was marked with great excitement by his supporters, but his decision to dedicate this moment to the victims of the tragedy speaks volumes about his compassion and commitment to humanity.
