Nigerians Should Prepare To Make The Right Choice – Kayode Olawoyin

Nigerians had been called upon to make right choice politically, economically, marriage and career wise this time around to avoid regret.

The call was contained in the press release signed and issued by the Diocesan Communicator, Comrade Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade during the Thanksgiving service by the women Local Conference of the Cathedral of St .Peter, Aremo, Ibadan.

In his sermon during the service, the provost Cathedral of St. Peter’s Aremo Ibadan, The Very Rev’d Samuel Kayode Olawoyin disclosed that some people choose to be rich while some choose to be poor depending on their determination , focus, belief and mindset.

According to the Provost, in whatever situation we find ourselves, we should be our brother’s and sister’s keeper as fingers are not equal and should note that, no condition is permanent.

Quoting from Mark 14:7, the preacher said, “For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you will not always have me”.

He enjoined the congregation especially the rich and influencial to remember the poor in our midst by showing them love, mercy and assistance whenever the need arises,he concluded.

Earlier in her address at the conference, the branch Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs) Omolola Olawoyin appreciated the unprecedented achievements of Oyo State Governor Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for taking Oyo State to a greater height and for his love to indigenes and residents of Oyo State.

Dr Olawoyin appealed to Oyo State Governor to ensure reduction in the prizes of food commodities by taking meaningful steps as done by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi and Ewi of Ado-Ekiti in their domains recently.

She prayed that the name Nigeria” neglect ” be called “Beulah”, meaning Loved nation, rejoicing with President Bola Tinubu for becoming the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after struggles, supplications and expenses, while appreciating your efforts in improving the present difficult situations, we urge you not to forget your electioneering campaigns which include provision of food security, quality education, adequate health facilities, infrastructural facilities, easy transportation and security of life and property among others as against what we are witnessing today, especially incesant fuel pump price increase on daily basis, increase in the price of food items, insecurity, among others.

“It is high time president Bola Tinubu should retrace his steps and do away with policies contributing to the hardship experiencing presently, we are hungry, suffering and in distress, urged him to assemble intelligent people and technocrats to assist him to move Nigeria forward”, she concluded.

The theme for the conference was taken from 1st Samuel 1:19,” And the Lord remembered
me.”
